Don Miller, D.V.M.Don Miller, D.V.M.

Dr. Miller was born "a long time ago" in Brady, TX. After graduating from high school there, he attended Texas A&M from 1964-1969. Shortly after he graduated, he started practicing small animal medicine in San Antonio, TX where he stayed for 31 years. He owned two practices there, one for dogs and cats, and one for cats only. Moving back to Brady in 2000, he served as minister at the Brady Community Church for two years. He and Nancy, his wife, moved to Granbury in 2002 and purchased Hood County Animal Clinic. In 2005, they purchased Animal Medical Clinic, renaming both clinics Animal Care Centers. When Dr. Miller isn't working, which we all know isn't that often, he enjoys being outdoors and doing anything that has to do with the outdoors.

Karen Mikols, D.V.M.Karen Mikols, D.V.M.

Dr. Mikols was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago which makes her a huge Bears and Cubs fan! For the past few years she has lived on Bangs Lake in Wauconda, Illinois, enjoying kayaking and beautiful sunsets. She received her bachelors degree at the University of Illinois (Go Illini!) and attended vet school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean. While there, she picked up a wonderful souvenir - her island dog Brownie! She went to Texas A&M for her clinical year and then went to practice back in Illinois. After a winter of 2 1/2 feet of snow and 24 inch thick ice on the lake, she decided to head for warmer weather here in Granbury. It will be hard to break her Chicago deep dish pizza habit, but she’ll make it through! She also plays the harp and usually makes some time to practice in her busy schedule. In her free time, she enjoys running outside, walking Brownie, and you can usually find her with a book (or a veterinary journal) by the lake soaking up some sun! She thoroughly enjoys veterinary medicine and she is so excited to be working at Animal Care Centers.

Debra Gryder, D.V.MDebra Gryder, D.V.M.

She started working at our Morgan Street location again within the past few years. She is married to Scott Gryder and has two daughters, Jessica and Trisha. When she isn’t working, Dr. Gryder enjoys anything outdoors, spending time with her family, attending Triple Cross Cowboy Church, swimming, riding horses, and playing with her pets.
